The Rebuilding Lives Breast Cancer Survivors project (2023-1-BG01-KA210-ADU-000167184) , co-funded by the European Commission through Erasmu + rporgamme is a joint project of the Bulgarian foundation “Nana Gladwish – One of 8” and the Democritus University of Thrace.
 
The main project objective is to empower breast
cancer survivors aged 30 – 55 years old by promoting their physical and mental health, developing their skills, and building their resilience, to support their successful integration in to the society and transition into the labor market. The project aims to develop a comprehensive training program that can support breast cancer survivors (women entered recently into a
remission after a breast cancer) towards their successful reintegration into society and the labour market and improve their physical and mental health.
The specific objectives of the Rebuilding Lives of Breast Cancer Survivors are as follow:
SO1. To conduct a research on the experiences of women in remission after breast cancer aiming to disseminate the
challenges that women in remission after breast cancer face and how they could be supported;
SO2. To develop, evaluate and disseminate a training program for breast cancer survivors 1) for physical and mental health
to improve their overall well-being and 2) for skills and competencies acquisition relevant to the current labour market aiming to support their integration into the society;
SO3. To develop and disseminate online resources and tools for breast cancer survivors to facilitate rebuilding their lives and integration into the society;
SO4. To create a network of organisations working towards supporting the integration of breast cancer survivors in the society aiming and to promote their employment and career development.
